Friday Funnies
Chronicles of a crazy cartoonist
This time of year feels like I’m running a marathon. Not that I’ve ever done a marathon. Unless, of course, you are talking about a Rockies doubleheader which is actually more like a Stephen King novel. But I digress. Back to the marathon. My wife Diane and I, are basically on mile number 24 and we fell a bit like we are traversing up Floyd Hill to get to the finish line. It’s why I haven’t posted lately because, well, exhaustion is starting to set in and they ran out of caffeine somewhere along the way.
Calendar Season is like that. You would think I would kno how to pace myself for the long haul, but cartoonists often learn lessons very very slowly and prefer to take the Road Most Painful. Calendar season actually started in June when I began retooling websites, creating the Broncos Country Poster and the 2026 Calendar. We decided to do craft fairs this year and they have been Amazing with Amazing Wonderful people supporting us and my work! My usual workload continues throughout the marathon and I still have some lingering commissions to complete before Christmas as well as, well, the Big Kahuna.
THE BIG KAHUNA ANNOUNCEMENT
Starting Monday I will be launching a brand new comic strip for the Vail Daily called Slippery Slopes. It will appear 3 days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and will feature assorted anthropomorphic characters as well as many fine folks who live and work in Vail. It promises to be a rollicking adventure and one I am so excited about. So stay tooned for that.
And now for your Friday Funnies:

The funnies on this one are too good! Always love the little details, like Dinger in the freeing cold. Were you at the Avs game last night? Thought I saw a shot of you on camera
